Miscarriage and Loss Guide
For those experiencing a loss and for the people supporting them, our guide offers evidence-based information on supporting someone through a loss. It may be a useful companion to your pastoral care. Physical copies will be provided to your office and can be downloaded additionally https://ajfn.org.au/resource/miscarriage-guide/
Little Light Memorial
Little Light Memorial is a dedicated online memorial wall for babies lost through miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. Without a funeral, a grave or a shared ritual, these losses can go unspoken, and silence can make an already isolating experience feel even lonelier. Little Light Memorial offers a place to pause, remember and honour a life, through lighting a virtual candle. It is always there for families to return to, whether days, months or years after their loss. http://ajfn.org.au/memorial
Miscarriage and Loss Toolkit
A collection of accessible resources offering gentle, practical guidance for the days and weeks after a loss, including Jewish-specific support. Written information can feel overwhelming when someone is in the thick of grief, so the toolkit also includes videos, audio clips and worksheets with tangible, practical exercises. These may feel easier to engage with than traditional printed material. http://ajfn.org.au/topic/pregnancy-loss
All resources are free for anyone who needs them irrespective of their community affiliation.
We can also provide:
Psychological Support, Allied Health professional referrals, spiritual referrals , meals and practical support as well as Peer Support connections to those who have had their own past experiences with loss.
